What is a Cavalier?

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are a special breed of dog.  They are extremely affectionate and have a need to be close to you at all times.  They love to sleep in bed with you, touching you, and will always find them at your feet, if you should happen to sit somewhere.

They do not ask much of you other then to be fed well, be bathed and brushed occasionally, especially their ears, and to be given a lot of love and affection.  They are content just to sit on your lap.

The love part of this relationship will be returned unconditionally.

An Italian Greyhound

What can I say about this perfect miniature of a Greyhound.  They are extremely sensitive, gentle, graceful and so elegant in their movement and stance.  They are very devoted to their family and is extremely good with children. 

They love to chase and run. However they can be easily injured by larger dogs and aggressive children.  Their legs are the weak points of an Italian Greyhound and should never be physically  stopped when they are running. 

They are so very sensitive to the cold and loves to sleep under the blankets.

Size

Their average weight is between 7 and 14 lbs.  Height is between 13 and 15 inches.

Lifespan

Their lifespan is between 12 and 15 years.

Personality

This breed is not demanding and it's good nature is an asset to any dog loving family.  They are reserved and often timid with strangers.

Maintenance

The IG is very low maintenance.  An occasional brushing is about all they really need.  Their smooth short coat sheds very little and produces almost no odor.

Their teeth are very sensitive and needs regular maintenance.
